not visit Katie Bishop's new dude
ranch in Wyoming

— While riding by Milliken field
last week, I saw Lisa Morse pain-
ting Cohasset's water tower

— Pam Ainslie, Noelle Conant,
Audrey Wilson, and Suzanne
Reddie were all very impressed
that their boss remembered them
during National Secretaries Week.
Each afternoon their boss, Tom-
my Durkin, took them out for a
"sowie" during lunch hour

— I saw John Colocousis with a
big smile on his face. He just learn-
ed that he will be judging next
year's Miss America contest

— Congratulations are in order
for Megnan Kelley who was ap-
pointed the first female president
of Boston College. She will be
assisted by her admissions staff of
Nora Leary, Kristen O'Brien and
Lauren Haynes.

— Following in their families
footsteps, Laura Pompeo and
Troy Chatterton frequent the Log
and Line and are often served by
former classmate Chris Kulterides

FOOTBALL (4-5)
COACH: Phil Pisano
CAPATINS: Jeff Brown, Jay Contis,
Mark Lahive

The football team showed a
marked improvement over the past
years. Leading the corps was new
head coach, Phil Pisano, who instill-
ed a more upbeat attitude in the
team. The new emotion carried the
Skippers over traditional rivals Hull
and Duxbury. Instrumental to the
unit's success were seniors Danny
Curran, jackie Cooper, Troy Chatter-
ton, Tom Durkin, Steve Reed, and
Brian Durkin.

BOYS SOCCER (TK
COACH: John Anderson
CAPTAINS: Michael Desantis, David
MacDonald

The soccer cruised to an outstan-
ding season this year. Led by All
League seniors David MacDonald,
Mason Sandell, and Mike DeSantis,
the Skippers flogged their first two
adversaries in the state tournament,
and then lost to a tough Medfield
opponent. Also adding fine perfor-
mances were seniors Gary Parziale,
Peter Cotter, J. P. Diedrich, Greg Igo,
and Eric Karcher.

c
c

CROSS COUNTRY (0-10)
COACH: Paul Narkiewicz
CAPTAIN: John Rattenbury

The Cross Country team ran to a
somewhat depressing season this
year. Although their record did not
show it, fine efforts were shown by
seniors David Young, Jim Reilly, and
Steve Fries. Look for a strong team in
the future because of a plethora of
underclassmen talent.

GIRLS SOCCER (13-5-2)
COACH: Kennan Starzell

APTAINS: Amy Duncombe, Joanie
Chisolm, Sarah Seavey

Consisting of fifteen seniors the
girls soccer team completed their
best season ever since its beginning
six year ago. The skillful playing of
these girls advanced them to the
quarter finals of the state tourna-
ment. The admired girls srccer team
had the most representatives on the
South Shore League All-Star team.
Even though the team is losing fif-
teen girls to graduation there is no
need to worry because the younger
girls are improving very quickly.

Dina

FIELD HOCKEY (10-7-2)
COACH: Gino Digirolamo
CAPTAINS: Vicki Spooner,
Potolicchio I ^§

The girls field hockey team had a
very exciting season. They advanced
to first round of the state tourna-
ment due to their aggress^ e olaying.
The team is losing Vicki
Jr Spooner, Dina Poto' \m Harr-

ington, Cathleen Bi ley, Alejandro
Castro, and Christ Moore. The
team has mar cellent young

players

GIRLS BASKETBALL (17-3)
COACH: Mr. Fallon
CAPTAINS: Tracy Fitzpatrick, Carla
Lucas, Janet DiGirolamo

The girls played an outstanding
season and ended up co-champions
of the league. The team will miss
seniors Tracy Fitzpatrick, Carla Lucas,
Janet DiGirolamo, Sarah Seavey, Jill
Nedrow, Vicki Spooner, Kerry
O'Brien, and Kristen O'Brien. Under
the skillful coaching of Coach Fallon
the girls advanced to the com-
petitive state tournament.

HOCKEY (2-13-2)
COACH: Mr. Izzo

CAPTAINS: Troy Chatterton, Alex
Ghetto, Dan Curran

The hockey team had a very
frustrating season. Their record may
not show it but they managed to
give the tougher teams in the league
quite a scare. The team played well
under the leadership of seniors Troy
Chatterton, Alex Ghetto, Dan Cur-
ran and Gary Parziale. The team, be-
ing very young, should do really well
in the future.

BOYS BASKETBALL (19
COACH: Mr. Minelli
CAPTAINS: David MacDonald,
James Creed, Tony Bogarty

After advancing to the division
finals in the state tournament last
year the boys basketball team
managed to finish an even bettei
season this year. They ended thei
league season with an undefeated
record. Underclassmen Tony Bogar
ty, James Creed, Brian EdwaroS^^
Bobby Shultz and Senior David Mac-
Donald were the main contributing
factors to the team's success Other
members who will be lost to gradua-
tion are Philip Bernstein and Steve
Fries. Even though these seniors
were a great asset to the team, the
boys should do just as well next
season.

CAPTAIN: Julia Sechen

Jnhe gymnastics team with only

Our Full Service Salon takes

anticipates giving the very best in
style and service to Mom, Dad, Big
Sister and Little Brother . . . right on

soon for children to begin to learn the

that teach them principles of
grooming discipline, cleanliness,
order and contemplation, which will
stand them in good stead later in life.
Vanity, a much maligned virtue in
modern life, is perhaps not so bad a
beginning for youngsters who will
soon be seeking positions in a society
that frequently equates personal
appearance and style with aptitude
and potential. Think about it And
